The Round Table Conference regarding “Implementation of the Recommendations of UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Concerning Article 24 of UN Convention on the Rights of the Persons with Disabilities” was held on September 26, in Kyiv. On the invitation of the organizers, namely: the All-Ukrainian Public Organisation “National Assembly of Disabled People of Ukraine”, the All-Ukrainian Fund “Step by Step” and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Head of the All-Ukrainian Public Organization of Handicapped “Advocacy Association of Disabled” Oleksandr Vozniuk participated in the Round Table Conference.

In terms of experience exchange the representatives of the Organization carried out a research of accessibility for physically challenged people to recreation areas in Chania, the Republic of Greece.
Chania is a city in Greece on the outskirts of Crete; it is a capital of the similarly-named regional unit Chania, with the population of about 60 thousand.
In 1970s Chania became a tourist attraction both for the Greeks and the foreign visitors.
Thus, during the research a special attention was paid to accessibility for physically challenged people to recreation areas including that to the city beach.
On September 11, 2016, at the invitation of the General Director of Lviv National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet named after S. Krushelnytska Eder Tadei, the pupils of 2-4 forms of Lviv specialised school watched the musical fairy tale “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”.
On the first warm autumn days, from September 5 till September 11, at the invitation of the company “Strila”, the young and disabled children have been having rest at the recreation facility “Strila”.
During the rest time the youth and the disabled children were provided with high-calory feeding, made physical exercises every morning, and went for a walk along the picturesque shores of Dnipro.
On the occasion of the beginning of the academic year, the All-Ukrainian Public Organization of Handicapped “Advocacy Association of Disabled” has transferred light and comfortable shoes for children having disabilities to one of the specialized schools of Kyiv as humanitarian aid.
The end of the school year is drawing quite near and all the kids are looking forward to sunny and warm summer and summer break, while a cultural and spiritual development of children with special needs carries on.
We are grateful to the National Academic Ivan Franko Drama Theatre in Kyiv for the opportunity to attend to a magnificent, modern, costumed Ukrainian classic play “Natalka Poltavka” based on the novel by Ivan Kotlyarevskyy and staged on May 24, 2016.
May 23, 2016, Kyiv children with special needs attended the concert of Jamala (People’s Artist of Ukraine Susana Jamaladinova), who won the 61st Eurovision Song Contest held in the Swedish capital Stockholm.
The concert of Jamala took place in the National Palace of Arts “Ukraine” in Kyiv.
International Family Day is determined by the General Assembly in 1993 and is celebrated annually on May, 15. Determining this day is intended to draw the attention of the world society on the importance and priority of the family.

All branches of the Ukrainian public organization of handicapped “Advocacy Association of Disabled” involving children with special needs from all over Ukraine organized a campaign “Give Veterans respect and smile” on the day of celebration of 71 anniversary of the Day of Victory over Nazism in World War II. A free greeting of children with disabilities to passer Veterans was organized in central squares, public places of Kyiv, Odesa, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Mykolaiv, where the children have expressed their respect, gratitude to them and presented sweet symbolic sign of attention.
